The Belgium-Vietnam Alliance (BVA) on Sept. 11 launched a Vietnamese course at the Hung Vuong Culture and Language Centre in Brussels.
Speaking at the opening, BVA President Steve Stevaert expressed hope that the centre will bring more practical benefits to the Vietnamese community in Belgium and Luxembourg .
Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium Pham Sanh Chau pledged to support activities which are aimed at connecting overseas Vietnamese in Belgium and introducing Vietnamese culture.
The same day, Sao Mai School in the German capital city of Berlin , which is designed to teach the Vietnamese language to Vietnamese children, held a ceremony to start the new school year 2011-2012.
Established in 2007, the school now has four classes and regular teaches Vietnamese at weekends./.
