At the meeting, KPL General Director Khamsene Phongsa spoke highly of VNA’s timely assistance and cooperation and expressed his hope that at the 25 th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 25) to be held for the first time in Laos, VNA reporters will provide KPL with high-quality news, articles and photos to KPL in order to help the Lao audience keep track of the games’ competition activities.
Phongsa also affirmed that KPL will create the most favourable conditions for VNA reporters to fulfil their tasks.
In reply, a representative of the VNA delegation pledged to actively support KPL during the games.
Earlier, to promote the region’s largest sports event, VNA and KPL had signed a cooperative agreement under which VNA would send news and photo reporters to help KPL colleagues implement press professionals. This was considered a new hallmark of cooperation between the two news agencies.
On the same day, the Main Press Centre (MPC) for SEA Games 25 officially opened in Vientiane to serve foreign reporters’ activities./.
