The Party Central Committee’s Commissions for External Relations of Vietnam and Laos and the provincial Thua Thien-Hue Party Committee organised an exchange programme from July 24-27.

Attending the event were Hoang Binh Quan, a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Committee (CPVCC) and head of the CPVCC’s Commission for External Relations, along with Thongloun Sisoulith, a Politburo member of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP), head of the LPRP’s Commission for External Relations as well as Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Laos.

The programme featured a range of sports and traditional art performances from both nations, reflecting the special relations between Vietnam and Laos.

The Vietnamese Party commission took this occasion to present the “For the cause of the Party’s foreign affairs” insignia to leaders of the Lao counterpart and Thua Thien-Hue provincial Party Committee.

The Party officials also shared working experiences and toured sites of natural beauty as well as economic and cultural establishments in Thua Thien-Hue, Da Nang city and Quang Nam province./.
