Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese film “Infill and Full set” by Dao Duc Hai won the Best UK Drama award of the recent 2019 Oxford International Short Film Festival (OXISFF).

Actress Nha Phuong also received the Best Lead Actress award.

Previously, the film earned four nominations of the (OXISFF), including Best Film, Best Lead Actress, Best Music Score, and Best UK Drama.

The film is the first short Phuong has produced. The 14-minute film is about a Vietnamese woman who immigrates to Britain illegally. Pregnant and doesn’t know which way to turn, she has to use false identification to try to get employed at a nail salon. But unfortunately, on her first test day her services get her into trouble.

Infill and Full set was made by director Dao Duc Hai as a project for his master’s degree in art film graduation from the faculty of arts and creative industries, Middlesex University in London.

The short movie was screened at nearly 20 international film festivals. -VNA
