Notably, as part of the event, the Belarusian State Ensemble Pesnyary and the State Academic I.Zhynovich Folk Instruments Orchestra are scheduled to give live performances in Hanoi on November 4 and in the northern city of Hai Phong a day later.
Pesnyary, founded in 1969 by guitarist Vladimir Mulyavin, was a popular Soviet Belarusian folk rock band. One of the band’s official descendants is the Belarussian State Ensemble Pesnyary comprising of young talented musicians.
The State Academic I.Zhynovich Folk Instruments Orchestra, established in 1930, was named among the oldest professional musical groups of the Republic of Belarus. It provided the foundation for the development of professional music performances using folk instruments in the country.-VNA
