Huyen is paying a visit to Indonesia from Aug. 16-20.
The officers attended the navies parade named “2009 Sail Bunaken” in Manado , North Sulawesi province of Indonesia on Aug. 19.
The two-day parade involves hundreds of yachts, small-sized ships and 33 warships of Indonesia. Thirty-three countries sent representatives to the parade, which was held to mark the 64 th anniversary of the country’s Independence Day (Aug. 17).
During the visit, the Vietnamese navy delegation also took part in a workshop on building comprehensive maritime security in Southeast Asia held by the Indonesian Navy.
The delegation is scheduled to call on President Susilo Bamgang Yudhoyono./.
