Lao Deputy Prime Minister Thoonglun Sisulit presented Issara (Freedom) Order to a number of Vietnamese individuals and localities on the 50 th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties and the 35 th anniversary of the Friendship and Cooperation Treaty.
The honours, presented on December 29, were in recognition of their contributions to the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples.
Sisulit, who is also Head of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations and Minister of Foreign Affairs, awarded the first-class Order to four northern provinces of Bac Giang, Hoa Binh, Phu Tho and Tuyen Quang.
The second-class Order was given to Hoang Binh Quan, head of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC)’s Commission for External Relations and the third-class Order went to incumbent and former deputy heads of the Commission.
Some other individuals and units of the Commission also received Friendship Medals and Orders./.VNA
