Foyer Vietnam, a restaurant featuring Vietnamese traditional foods, made debut in Paris’ District 5, on February 20.

The opening ceremony saw the participation of Minister of the Vietnamese Embassy in France Dinh Toan Thang and representatives from the local authorities.

Addressing the event, Foyer Vietnam President Nguyen Binh said he hopes to create a space for Vietnamese organisations to meet and share information, thus boosting Vietnam-France exchange. The restaurant’s website also provides information on accommodation and job opportunities to Vietnamese students in France.

Each served meal will contribute 20 French centimes (0.20 EUR) to a fund for charitable and cultural activities as well as used as scholarships for disadvantaged students in Vietnam .

The restaurant’s menu includes pho (Vietnamese noodles), nem (spring roll), bun cha (noodles with grilled meat) and bun bo (noodles with beef).-VNA
