Vietnam always welcomes enterprises of the Republic of Korea (RoK) and is willing to create favourable conditions for them to do business in the Southeast Asian country, Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan said.

She also hailed the Vietnam and RoK Chambers of Commerce and Industry for organising an exchange between businesses from their respective countries in Seoul on Sept. 18.

The event offered enterprises a chance to seek cooperation, trade and investment opportunities as well as share experiences in corporate operations to overcome difficulties caused by the global economic crisis, she added.

Doan said she believed that in the coming time, joint efforts between the business communities of the two countries will increase, helping cooperation in economics, trade and investment match the untapped potential that exists, and the aspirations of both leaders.

Earlier, while receiving Chairman of RoK Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kyung Shik Sohm, Deputy State President Nguyen Thi Doan praised the chamber’s role in organising the 2nd Asian Women Entrepreneurs Conference (AWEC).

She underscored that Vietnam is an open market, a market with investment and business potential and opportunities for foreign enterprises and investors, including RoK businesses.

She said she hoped that the chamber will schedule more practical activities to act as a bridge connecting the Vietnamese and RoK business communities for increased economic cooperation along side sound political relations./.
