– Police of the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s Daejeon city will regularly exchange information with their colleagues in Vietnam’s southern Binh Duong province about such issues as crime combat, especially high-tech crimes, chief of Daejeon police Hwang Un-ha has said.

Besides, the two sides will work on traffic safety, urban railway and subway models, while joining hands to protect legitimate rights of businesses of the two countries and ensure regional security and order, Hwang told Secretary of Binh Duong province’s Party Committee Tran Van Nam on May 13.

The move will help tighten the friendship and cooperation between Binh Duong and Daejeon, he said.

For his part, Nam highlighted cooperation and friendship between the two localities across spheres, especially Daejeon’s support to Binh Duong in hosting the World Technopolis Association (WTA) Summit 2018.

Briefing his guest on Binh Duong’s economic development, the official said the RoK ranks fifth among 64 countries and territories investing in the province, with 727 investors and nearly 5.1 billion USD.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) on crime combat between police forces of the two localities was signed later the same day in Binh Duong province, under which the two sides will join hands on the principles of mutual respect and trust, and equality for mutual benefits. -VNA
