The 22-minute film, made in 2012, features a love story about two acting students in Los Angeles . The film was shot in the US when Hai studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy.
The top ten films will progress to the finals, with winners to be announced by a three-member jury on July 7.
The winner will be awarded 70,000 USD in cash and have the opportunity to expose themselves to a new fan base of Viewster followers, which numbers more than 20 million members worldwide.
Hai is currently working at Viet Nam Film Studio. He won the Gold Remi Award at WorldFest – Houston International Film Festival in 2008 for his first film Khi Nang Thu Ve (When Autumn Sunlight Comes) and the Silver Lotus title for Hanoi 12 Ngay Dem (Ha Noi's 12 Nights and Days) at the Vietnam National Film Festival in 2004.-VNA
