Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam - RoK cuisine festival this year (K-Food Fair Vietnam 2020) will provide visitors with many new and exciting experiences with many unique cultural, artistic and culinary activities.

The event will take place on November 6 – 8 at the Hanoi Opera House. It features 56 booths, introducing cuisine, culture, tourism, beauty trends and technologies of both Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.

In addition to enjoying dishes prepared by skilled chefs, visitors will experience cultural and technological activities such as calligraphy writing with their name in Korean language, taking photos with famous place models, using beauty technology, advanced electronic equipment, and be provided with exciting musical performances with the participation of top singers such as Bich Phuong, Eric, Duc Phuc, Min, Noo Phuoc Thinh, and Hanoi X-Girls.

These are artists who have a close relationship with the Korean entertainment industry and have a large number of Korean fans living in Vietnam. Singer Noo Phuoc Thinh has filmed music videos in the RoK and has had many hit singing with Korean artists as a duo. Duc Phuc also paired with hot blogger Yang Soo Bin in the MV "Love it." Meanwhile, Bich Phuong is a singer very popular with Korean fans. Newswire ISplus News called Bich Phuong "The goddess of Vietnam."

Visitors to the programme will have more interesting experiences with the activity of "Signing for fans," meeting Vietnamese stars and joining a lucky draw.  

The festival is expected to be a don’t-miss interesting destination for those who adore the Korean culture and cuisine.

This year's programme is a continuation and developed on the basis of the success of the annual Korean Food Fair since 2008 and is welcomed by a large number of young people in general and those who love Korean culture in Vietnam.

Previously, online seminars between food exporters and importers of Vietnam and the RoK were held at Lotte Hotel Hanoi and Lotte Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City on October 21 - 23. Up to 56 Korean enterprises in the areas of fresh fruits, ginseng, beverages, sauces, soy sauce, noodles and seafood and 150 Vietnamese importers participated in the seminars.

In particular, the organising board added activities to introduce sets of Korean food gifts for businesses in Vietnam with the participation of 27 Korean enterprises and about 300 Vietnamese enterprises.

The festival is jointly organised by Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI); and the RoK’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the RoK Embassy in Vietnam and the national Agricultural Food and Fishery Distribution Corporation of the RoK.

The RoK Embassy has also coordinated with a number of businesses to organise annual Korean food culture festivals, but such events usually take place outdoor such as Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian street and Quan Ngua Stadium.

K-Food Fair Vietnam 2020 sees the largest-ever participation of state and private agencies of Vietnam and the RoK.

The organisation of the events in two major cities, especially the art show at the Hanoi Opera House, shows that the organising board pays special attention to the quality of art performances and hopes to bring an impressive experience to visitors.

The culinary and cultural event is expected to give Vietnamese consumers opportunities to enjoy safe, high-quality agricultural products while strengthening trade and cultural ties, especially in the context that trading activities were interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic./.
