Seoul (VNA) - The 11th Sport Festival for Vietnamese Students in Korea (SFVSAK11-2018) took place in Hannam University of the Republic of Korea on August 11-12.

Hosted by the Association of Vietnamese Students in the RoK with the support of the Vietnamese Embassy in the country, the event aims to celebrate 26 years of Vietnam-RoK diplomatic ties.

SFVSAK11-2018 attracted 800 Vietnamese students studying in universities across the RoK, who competed in football, table tennis, badminton, tug of war, and chess and a sport beauty queen contest.

The annual festival offers a playing field for students and promotes unity among Vietnamese students in the RoK, thus introducing Vietnamese students to Korean and international friends.

Vietnamese chargé d’affaires in the RoK Tran Truong Thuy praised the Association of Vietnamese Students for its efforts in organising events of this kind over the last 11 years.

On the occasion, representatives of donors presented scholarships and gifts to the event’s best performers, those with excellent study achievements and disadvantaged students.-VNA
