Vietnamese students in Paris hold congress

More than 3,000 Vietnamese students have gathered at the Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne University for the sixth congress of the Vietnamese Students Association in Paris (UEVP) for the 2010-2011 term.

More than 3,000 Vietnamese students have gathered at the Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne University for the sixth congress of the Vietnamese Students Association in Paris (UEVP) for the 2010-2011 term.


The Nov. 27 congress heard that in the previous term, the UEVF held a number of forums to exchange experiences between the association and other Vietnamese students organisations across France and in European countries.

The association has also coordinated with the Vietnamese People Association in France to organise an art programme called Hanoi Pride, the Paris-league football tournament and seminars on overseas studying in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City .

Additionally, the UEVF has raised money to aid central flood victims in the homeland.

The EUVF said in this term it would organise scientific and job-orientation seminars and set up a network linking French scientists and experts and Vietnamese students to work for the two countries’ cooperation projects./.
