Twenty Vietnamese students from the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted and FPT High School are having a wonderful time while attending the Robotic Camp in Israel from August 6-11.

Tel Aviv (VNA) – Twenty Vietnamese students from the Hanoi-AmsterdamHigh School for the Gifted and FPT High School are having a wonderful timewhile attending the Robotic Camp in Israel from August 6-11.

They are divided into small groups to learn about robotics programming, andcomplete their own products. Besides, they have chance to share knowledge aboutrobotics, soft skills in group discussions, and practical experience withIsrael students.

Both Vietnamese and Israeli students expressed their hope to make contributionsto building their countries through information technology and automation.

The Robotic Camp programme, funded by Greenblitz club of Hakfar Hayarok School,has been organised for four consecutive years.

The Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, FPT High School, and many otherhigh schools for gifted students like Chu Van An and Nguyen Hue in Hanoi havecooperated with the Green Start Academy, which was set up in 2006 and providestraining for high-school students in startup, robotics and information andtechnology, to organise short courses about robotics for their students.  Each year, 15-20 students join the course.

On August 8, Vietnamese Ambassador to Israel Do Minh Hung had a meeting withthe Vietnamese delegation and the Green Start Academy, during which he spokehighly of the training course and thanked the academy for organising the annualevent for Vietnamese students.

He affirmed the course has brought positive results, helping form students’career orientation as well as better their communication skills.-VNA

Remains of Vietnamese fallen soldiers, experts repatriated from Laos

The remains of 12 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts, who laid down their lives in different periods in Laos’ Savannakhet province, were repatriated following a handover ceremony on May 21. They will be re-buried at the Road 9 National Martyrs Cemetery in Vietnam's central province of Quang Tri on May 22.

Nghe An reburies martyrs' remains repatriated from Laos

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Phung Thanh Vinh said that carrying a noble international duty, many Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts heroically joined Lao people in their struggle for national liberation and independence. Many of them sacrificed their lives in the country, including more than 12,000 soldiers laying down in the three provinces of Xaysomboun, Vientiane, and Xiangkhouang.

19 localities eradicate substandard houses

Four more provinces have announced the completion of efforts to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated housing, bringing the total number of localities achieving this milestone to 19 out of 63 nationwide, according to the Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs.
