All four Vietnamese contestants won medals at the 43rd International Chemistry Olympiad that took place in Turkey from July 9-18.

The Department of Examinations and Education Quality Assessment said on July 18 that Tran Thi Ngoc Quy, a 12 th grader from Ho Chi Minh City and Pham Dang Huy, a 11 th grader from the northern port city of Hai Phong bagged silvers.

Pham Minh Duc, a 12 th grader from Hanoi and Vo Duy Viet, a 12 th grader from the central province of Binh Dinh secured bronze medals.

At the International Biology Olympiad in Taiwan, Nguyen Trung Kien, a 12 th grader from Hanoi, Truong Thi Phuong Thao, a 12 th grader from the central city of Da Nang and Nguyen Thu Trang, a 11 th grader from the northern province of Nam Dinh took bronze medals.

Eleventh grader Dang Thu Trang, also from Nam Dinh, won a certificate of merit.

Earlier, the Vietnamese team brought home a gold, two silvers and two bronzes from the International Physics Olympiad in Thailand .

The Vietnamese mathematics and computer teams will compete at the international olympiads in Netherlands and Thailand at the end of this month./.
