Vietnamese students win prizes at int’l maths and science contest
Twelve Vietnamese students, all from Hanoi, who entered the 2017 International Mathematics and Science Olympiad (IMSO) in Singapore have won prizes.

Hanoi (VNA) – Twelve Vietnamese students, all from Hanoi, who entered the 2017 International Mathematics and Science Olympiad (IMSO) in Singapore have won prizes.
According to
Director of Hanoi Department of Education and Training Chu Xuan Dung, Vietnam
claimed two gold, three silver and one bronze medals for maths and one gold and
five silvers for science.
This was the first time the country had won gold
in the science category, he added.
The IMSO 2017 took place in Singapore on
November 20-24, themed “Smart, Skilled, and Creative in a Joyful Competition
for Excellence.”
It aims to develop elementary school students’
talent and interest in mathematics and science, motivate them to develop their
intellectual capacity and skills, and foster friendly international
