Vietnamese swimmer Vo Thuy Duong has a hat-trick of gold medals from girls under-17 breaststroke events at the Southeast Asian Age Group Swimming Championship in Malaysia.

Duong won the 200m in 2 minutes 44.35 seconds from Noviandari Afli of Indonesia (2:44.73) and Singapore ’s Sabrina Heng (2.46.05).
Earlier, Hanoian Duong won the 50m and 100m breaststroke events.

Her teammate Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen of HCM City took her third bronze on June 7 in the girls U14 50m event.

Later Tran Tam Nguyen was second in the boys U14 100m freestyle while Nguyen Huy Dat was third in the boys U12 200m butterfly.
Thailand finished top of the leader board with 47 golds, 32 silvers and 30 bronze medals.

Host Malaysia were second with 21 gold, 23 silver and 18 bronze medals.

Singapore were third with 14 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze medals.
