Luu Hong Quang, 20, a student fromAustralia ’s International Music Conservatory (AIMC), picked up twofirst prizes in the 19 th Century Piano on July 2 and the Kawai PianoAward on July 9.
He also won another two third prizesat the Russian Piano and the 20 th or 21st Century Piano.
Quang won first prize for Chopin piano categories last year and ahigh recommendation for the Recital Award in 2008.
Meanwhile, Quang’s younger brother, Luu Duc Anh, 17, from the VietnamNational Academy of Music, earned a special prize at the Recital Award.
