Two brothers, Luu Hong Quang and Luu Duc Anh took home five awards at the 76 th Sydney Eisteddfod piano competition in Australia , which ended on July 19.
Luu Hong Quang, 20, a student from Australia ’s International Music Conservatory (AIMC), picked up two first prizes in the 19 th Century Piano on July 2 and the Kawai Piano Award on July 9.
He also won another two third prizes at the Russian Piano and the 20 th or 21st Century Piano.
Quang won first prize for Chopin piano categories last year and a high recommendation for the Recital Award in 2008.
Meanwhile, Quang’s younger brother, Luu Duc Anh, 17, from the Vietnam National Academy of Music, earned a special prize at the Recital Award.
