There is high hope for medals in women’s events with the participation of Vu Thi Hang and Nguyen Thi Lua, the two female wrestlers from Hanoi.
In this tournament, Hang competes in the 48kg event, while Lua, who won the silver medal of at the 48kg category at the Asian Games (ASIAD) 2010, attends the 51kg event.
Last week, the Vietnam national wrestling team took the lead with 16 gold medals in the Southeast Asian (SEA) Freestyle and Classical Wrestling Championships, a pre-SEA Games event, which wrapped up in Myanmar on April 8.-VNA
