Prague (VNA) – The Banan Festival 2018 held in Prague, the Czech Republic has shown Vietnamese youths are increasingly integrating into the host society.

This is the third event of its kind organised in the country by Viet Up - an organisation of Vietnamese young people. Activities in the event are familiar to most Vietnamese people living in the Czech Republic, especially youths. It represents Vietnamese’s integration efforts, contributing to the development of the host country.

The festival helped connect Vietnamese and local people, thus promoting mutual understanding between the two countries’ people.

It also offered a chance for locals to explore business, professions and services that young Vietnamese people are pursuing in the Czech Republic, and get insights into Vietnam’s culture.

In the framework of the programme, a photo exhibition on the Vietnamese community in the country was held.

Nguyen Manh Tung, a member of Viet Up, said the festival aims to enhance exchange between Vietnamese youths and Czech and international friends.-VNA
