A joint Vietnamese and Russian e-commerce website officially went active on July 16, paving the way for the two countries’ businesses to get greater access to information on each other’s investment environment and trade policies.

The website, www.vietrussia.com, will also be a formal channel to advertise both countries’ image and promote goods produced by their domestic businesses.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Doan Duy Khuong said that the move is part of a series of efforts to support the Vietnamese business circle to do business more efficiently in Russia.

The Russian trade representative in Vietnam Sergey Briginevich praised the launch of the website and said that his office is ready to provide information to help businesses from both countries exploit the demands of both markets and expand their export markets.

Currently, all the information on the website is posted in Vietnamese except what relates to trading opportunities, which is published in English. In the near future, the website will add Russian to meet the demands of international business circles./.
