A Vietnam-Japan technical training and development centre was inaugurated in Ho Chi Minh City on September 12.

The 40 billion VND (1.9 million USD) centre is the first project of a private business to receive funding from the Japan International Development Agency (JICA) in the form of Official Development Assistance (ODA) after a 10-year temporary interruption.

The seven-storey facility, opened by Esuhai Co. Ltd and Kaizen Yoshida School , includes 25 classrooms to teach the Japanese language and train technical workers for the Japanese market.

Esuhai also acts as a bridge to introduce Vietnamese technical staff returning after their working contract in Japan to Japanese-invested firms in Vietnam.-VNA
