Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Do Hoa Binh called on German businesses to boost investment, economic cooperation and commercial exchanges in Vietnam.

The Ambassador made the appeal at a forum, co-organised by the Vietnamese embassy in Germany and the Vietnam promotion centre for trade, investment, culture and tourism in Berlin (Viethaus AG), to introduce Vietnam ’s economic and tourism potentials in Berlin on October 13.

Binh said the Vietnamese state always cares about building a clean environment and good polices to attract foreign investors and will create favourable conditions for them to do business in the country.

With huge potential for development in various economic sectors such as industry, agriculture and seafood, the country needs more foreign investment capital and cooperation, especially in building infrastructure, advanced technology, processing, the environment, health and education, he added.

On the occasion, a representative from the Vietnamese national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, briefed the forum on the company’s operations in Germany , including six direct weekly flights from Germany to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City as well as its domestic flight system.


The forum is part of Asia-Pacific Week held by Berlin city authorities from October 7-16, with the participation of 14 Asian countries, the US, Canada and host Germany./.
