Well-known lecturers from Vietnam and France analysed the basic principles of the former’s education system at a round-table discussion that was held in Paris on May 14.

The workshop, the first of its kind, was organised by the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts (AVSE) with the aim of establishing channels for the exchange of educationalists to work out measures which could help reform the curricula and teaching methods and improve training quality in Vietnam.

In addition to highlighting the country’s achievements and limitations in the field, participants also spoke in length the development trends and compared the education system in Vietnam with that of European countries, including France.

They also emphasised the need to fully equip students with occupational knowledge and guide them how to apply what they have known into the reality.-VNA
