Vietnam’s export turnover rises again

The General Statistics Office announced that the country earned anexport turnover of more than 78 billion USD in the Jan.-Oct. period, ayear-on-year rise of 34.6 percent.

Garments andtextiles took the lead among export staples with around 11.7 billion USDin the past 10 months, a year-on-year rise of 29.4 percent; followed byfootwear with more than 5.1 billion USD, up 25.8 percent; and seafoodwith more than 4.92 billion USD, up 22.8 percent.

Wooden furniture, machinery and equipment, electronics and computersalso made important contributions to the country’s 10-month exportrevenues.

The US remained the top importer ofVietnam ’s garments and textiles, followed by the European Union (EU)and Japan .

The nation’s 10-month trade deficit fell to 8.39 billion USD, a year-on-year reduction of 10.8 percent.

At the second session of the 13 th NA, the Government estimated thatthe country’s export revenues will reach 95 billion USD this year, ayear-on-year rise of 31.6 percent, while its trade deficit will make up10.5 percent of the total export turnover, equivalent to 10 billionUSD./.

EVs will no longer be exempt from registration fees
