Lang Son (VNA) – The Viettel Lang Son Logistics Park, the first of its kind in Vietnam, officially opened in Cao Loc district, the northern mountainous province of Lang Son, on December 11.
The park, equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, renewable energy systems, is designed following a circular economy model. It offers professional logistics services, including customs clearance, quarantine, inspection, warehousing, and cross-border transportation, leveraging smart transportation management technology and AI to optimize processes and reduce logistics costs by 40%.
The Viettel Lang Son Logistics Park has an investment of nearly 3.3 trillion VND (130 million USD), covering over 143 hectares across Phu Xa and Thuy Hung communes, with the capacity to process up to 1,500 trucks per day.
Chairman of Lang Son provincial People's Committee Ho Tien Thieu said the park will be a significant driver for boosting export and import activities, easing congestion at border gates, and shortening customs processing times.
He noted his belief that the facility will help enhance Lang Son’s role as a bridge linking ASEAN and China, positioning Vietnam as a strategic logistics centre in Southeast Asia.
Major General Tao Duc Thang, CEO of Viettel Group, highlighted that this project is a key part of Viettel’s national logistics infrastructure strategy. Viettel plans to expand its logistics network nationwide to serve key economic zones, focusing on smart border gates, agricultural logistics hubs, logistics centres in industrial parks, supply chain infrastructure, multi-modal transport, aligning with the government’s vision to improve logistics efficiency and support economic growth./.
