The Vietnam – Germany Hospital inaugurated a tissue bank, the first of its kind in Vietnam, on October 16.
The bank is tasked with collecting, preserving, storing, and supplying tissues for medical and research establishments, as well as partnering with foreign individuals and organisations for health check-ups and treatment.
As the first surgical hospital in Vietnam, the Vietnam – Germany Hospital conducts tens of thousands of surgeries each year to transplant hearts, blood vessels, and bones, which are in high demand in the country.-VNA
