A series of Vietnamese products will be introduced to Russian people and businesses at the Expo Centre in Moscow from Sept. 15-18.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Trade Promotion Department, 83 Vietnamese businesses will display their products at 91 booths at the exhibition in the fields of seafood, agro-forestry, food processing, furniture and handicrafts, garments and footwear, pharmaceutics, investment and banking, services, tourism, electricity and electronics.

Also, the visitors will have a chance to taste seafood dishes offered by 24 seafood companies, showing off Vietnam’s potential in the sector, according to the Department.

Russia is a traditional market for Vietnamese exporters, but there is still much more potential to be tapped. One hurdle to overcome is that the Russian people and businesses lack information on Vietnamese products.

According to the Department, the Vietnam Trade Office in Russia is working together with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as associations in Russia to create better links between Vietnamese businesses and potential importers./.
