At 7:55:16 on November 8 (Vietnam time), a Vietnamese satellite named NanoDragon along with 8 other satellites was officially put into orbit by the Epsilon-5 rocket of Japan.

This operation was carried out at the Uchinoura Launch Site (Kyushu Island of Japan).

NanoDragon is a satellite that was made in Vietnam. It was researched and developed by a group of scientists from the Vietnam Space Center (VNSC).

According to the original plan, after more than 1 hour since launching into space, NanoDragon will be separated from the Epsilon rocket. At about 9:30 am, the NanoDragon satellite will fly on the space above Vietnam.

The sky will have one more "star" that is NanoDragon, the product of VNSC. That is the image of the future, the image of Vietnam's space industry, said the Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Vu Hong Nam.

NanoDragon is a nano-class cubesat satellite manufactured by scientists from the VNSC (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology). This satellite has a weight of about 4kg with dimensions of 3U (100 x 100 x 340.5 mm).

NanoDragon satellite was developed to test the idea of using a series of microsatellites to receive automatic identification system (AIS) signal that was used to track and monitor marine vehicles

Update: At 09:06:54, the NanoDragon satellite was successfully separated from the Epsilon-5 rocket. It entered orbit and started flying in space. Along with NanoDragon, 8 other Japanese satellites have also successfully separated from the rocket.
