A delegation of foreign ambassadors and their spouses in China visited the northern province of Bac Ninh on Feb. 27.

The 20-member delegation represent the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Bosnia, and Herzegovina.

The diplomats and their entourage were received by Chairman of the Bac Ninh People’s Committee Tran Van Tuy who introduced them to the socio-economic development as well as the long-time history and rich culture of the host province.

They also had chance to enjoy performances of Quan Ho (love duet singing), which has been recognised by UNESCO as part of the world’s intangible cultural heritage.

Czech Ambassador Libor Secka, who led the delegation, expressed his wish that the province would further develop and the folk music would be preserved forever./.
