Total bilateral trade turnover between Vietnam and Southeast Asia’s biggest market Indonesia, reached 2.2 billion USD in the first six months of this year, of which Vietnam enjoyed a trade surplus of 60 million USD.
According to statistics from the Trade Office of the Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia , Vietnam exported 1.13 billion USD worth of goods to Indonesia in the period, up 20.1 percent and imported 1 billion USD, down 1.7 percent from the same period last year.
Indonesia bought more coffee, minerals, telephones, chemicals, electric cable and steel products from Vietnam , while purchasing less rice.
The two countries aim for 4.6 billion USD in bilateral trade value this year.-VNA
