Viettel becomes sole sponsor of Cambodia’s Football Federation

Metfone Company under Vietnam ’s Military Telecom Corporation (Viettel) signed a sponsorship contract with the Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC) in Phnom Penh on July 22.
Metfone Company under Vietnam ’sMilitary Telecom Corporation (Viettel) signed a sponsorship contractwith the Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC) in Phnom Penh on July 22.

Under the sponsorship contract, Metfone will become the main sponsorfor most tournaments in the FFC framework and its football squads from2010-2012 with a total donation of 1.5 million USD.

Addressing the signing ceremony, FFC President Sao Sokha expressed hisbelief that even more favourable conditions for FFC’s operations willbe created, thanks to teaming with an experienced, effective andfaithful partner like Metfone . Together with Metfone, the FFC hopes todevelop Cambodian football, contributing to boosting sports activitiesof all kinds throughout the country.

Metfone Director Nguyen Duy Tho affirmed that his company is willing tocontinue providing long-term sponsorship for football in the Kingdom.

Licensed in July 2007, Viettel Cambodia has about 500,000 subscribers in the country./.

ASEAN city leaders explore Hanoi’s heritage sites

At the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, delegates visited the Doan Mon Gate and learnt about the formation and development of the ancient capital through different historical periods at display spaces. They also explored the Kinh Thien Palace’s Dragon Steps (large stone steps with dragon carvings), regarded as the political and ceremonial centre of the imperial citadel during successive Vietnamese dynasties.
