Vinaphone launches package for fishermen

The Vietnam Telecom Services Company, or Vinaphone, has officially launched a special package dedicated for offshore fishermen, said the company on July 7.
The Vietnam Telecom Services Company, or Vinaphone, has officiallylaunched a special package dedicated for offshore fishermen, said thecompany on July 7.

Activating this package,fishermen will enjoy a number of promotions, including 50,000 VND (2.35USD) in account for the first month and 30,000 VND each for the next 11months.

Customers can use GPRS services to surfthe internet and get free weather forecasts and information aboutmaritime security situation.

Meanwhile, low-costinformation packages will provide them with helpful consultations onhow to increase fishing efficiency, preserve aquatic resources, whileprotecting the environment.

To help fishermenuse the package effectively, the mobile service provider has installedmore than 1,000 transceiving stations along the coast and on islandswith the coverage of up to 40 nautical miles.-VNA
