Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) signed a cooperation agreement with the GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM Joint Stock Company in Hanoi on March 9.

Under this deal, GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM will sponsor information technology services and the robotics process automation (RPA) solution for VINASA.

The agreement signing marked the two sides’ partnership in fostering national digital transformation.

As an active member of VINASA, during its over 15 years of development, GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM has continually made active contributions to the domestic IT industry as well as the development of VINASA.

Explaining the reason for choosing GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM as the technology partner, VINASA Secretary General Nguyen Thi Thu Giang said this company has made great strides over the last three years as assessed by experts of the association.

Not only exporting IT services to the Japanese market and providing Internet services, on the basis of accumulated experience and technology while working with Japanese partners for many years, GMO has strongly invested in the research and development of digital transformation products and services.

A number of its artificial intelligence (AI)-based products such as SmartOCR, SmartRPA, and SmartKYC have received high evaluation by VINASA experts, she added.

Giang said the history of companionship and the technological basis form the foundation for VINASA to choose GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM as a technology partner in the digital transformation process.

"These technologies will help VINASA accelerate the digital transformation process, introduce new activities, new services to more effectively support the development of member enterprises in particular and the information technology industry of Vietnam as a whole,” she affirmed.

Nguyen Tan Minh, Deputy General Director of GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM, said his company has unceasingly developed digital transformation ecosystems for enterprises (one stop solutions) in various fields. The firm itself is also undergoing digital transformation to further apply technology to its operations.

Given this, it understands what businesses need and how to optimise value and secure success in digital transformation, he went on, adding that GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM is not the biggest company to specialize in digital transformation, but it is confident that it will be the best and most prestigious supplier of all-in digital transformation solutions.

Under the agreement, GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM will also provide VINASA with SmartRPA, a software robot solution, to help reduce repetitive manual processes, minimise human errors, and increase efficiency.

The SmartRPA developed by the company can be easily applied to different forms of business, automate office tasks, and improve job performance as it can work around the clock, minimise risks, cut down costs by 83 percent, and raise productivity by 900 percent.

Besides, the application of SmartOCR, a handwriting recognition solution, will also help facilitate the digital transformation process of enterprises.

In 2020, Vietnam began its national digital transformation programme until 2025 with a vision to 2030, which targets the digital economy contributing 20 percent of GDP over the next five years.

The programme aims to concurrently develop a digital government, digital economy, and digital society and create digital technology businesses capable of extending their reach to the world.

The digital economy is hoped to account for 20 percent of the country’s GDP by 2025 and at least 10 percent of each sector.

Vietnam also expects to be among the top 50 countries in the ICT Development Index and the Global Competitiveness Index, and one of the 35 leading countries in the Global Innovation Index./.
