Vinatex eyes 10,000 ha of cotton
The Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) has set a
target of having 10,000 ha covered with cotton in central Quang Tri
province by 2015.

target of having 10,000 ha covered with cotton in central Quang Tri
province by 2015.
To realise this target, the group plans to implement a 2,000-ha project in Trieu Phong district in the 2013-2014 period.
The provincial Department of Planning and Investment and relevant departments and agencies are required to guide Vinatex to make a feasible study on its project.
The Trieu Phong district’s People’s Committee will work with the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Natural Resources and Environment to allocate land to Vinatex for building a sample farm for Vinatex, which will be submitted to the provincial People’s Committee for approval.-VNA
