Answering reporters’ question on Sept. 25 on the trial, Nghi said: “In Vietnam , citizens’ rights to freedom are clearly stipulated in its constitution and legal documents, respected and secured in reality. Vietnamese citizens exercise all their rights within the framework of the law.”
“Like in other countries, all law violations are punished in accordance with regulations of Vietnam’s law and international human rights law, including the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights,” he added.-VNA
