Vietnam secured a berth in the final round of the Asian Women’s Football Championships 2010, after it crushed Hong Kong 7-0 in a Group C match on July 8.

Striker Ngoc Cham pulled off a hat trick for Vietnam , and Van Thi Thanh scored two goals, while the two other goals were shot by Kim Chi and Nguyen Thi Muon.

Vietnam had previously defeated Kazakhstan 10-1 in the Group C opener, which was organised at the Thanh Long Sports Centre in Ho Chi Minh City four days ago.


With two wins, Vietnam topped Group C and took the sole ticket to the final round, which earlier welcomed five qualifiers - China , Japan , Australia , the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea./.
