Theminister made the statement at the Vietnam-Germany Trade-InvestmentForum opened in Frankfurt/Main, Germany’s State of Hessen, onSept. 19.
The one-day forum, jointly held by theVietnamese Foreign Ministry and the Hessen State’s authorities, theFrankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the East Asia Association,Deutch Bank and the World University Service, focused on the potentialsand chances for the development of infrastructure, finance and industryin Vietnam.
Minister Minh also called on the twocountries to further strengthen cooperation, pledging that theVietnamese Government will improve investment environment to createfavourable conditions for foreign investors, including German ones, todo long-term, effective and sustainable business in Vietnam .
He stressed that the establishment of the Vietnam-Germany strategicpartnership is creating a new impulse for the two countries’ economiccooperation.
Delegates said they hope the forum willhave a positive impact on cooperation fields in the future, thushelping bring the Vietnam – Germany ties to a new height.
At his talks with Minh, Hessen State Governor Bouffier pledged toencourage local businesses to invest in Vietnam . He said he hopesthe Vietnamese businesses will choose Frankfurt as a destination forinvestment.
He also expressed his concern overrecent complications in the East Sea between China andneighboring countries, and said the sides should solve the issuespeacefully, thus creating favourable conditions for long-term andeffective investment.
Minh affirmed Vietnam’spolicy of solving disputes by peaceful measures, on the basis ofrespecting international law.-VNA
