A delegation from the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Popularisation and Education led by its deputy head Bui The Duc attended the third World Congress and the 11 th International Meeting on pre-school education in Mexico from Oct. 6-8.
Themed “Early childhood, family and sustainable development”, the event brought together over 2,000 delegates from 32 countries and territories worldwide.
Addressing the event, Duc said that over the past years, Vietnam has paid attention to developing a network of pre-schools equipped with modern technologies and a quality contingent of teachers, especially giving priority to educating ethnic and disabled children.
He shared Vietnam’s experiences in striving for sustainable development, saying a prerequisite is to achieve consensus in society and deep awareness about the role of education.
The Vietnamese delegation also held bilateral meetings with representatives from other countries on the sidelines of the event./.
