The Standing Committee of the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association (VCFA) met in Hanoi on Oct. 22 to discuss the role of the Vietnam-Cambodia Business Club in promoting economic cooperation between the two countries.
Ly Quang Bich, Vice Chairman of VCFA said the club’s membership has increased from 60 at its establishment in 2008 to 200.
The club has actively coordinated with the VCFA to organise market survey trips to Cambodia for Vietnamese businesses and it served as channel to provide information on economic, trade and investment polices of Cambodia for Vietnamese businesses as well as Vietnam’s policies in promoting cooperation with Cambodia.
At the meeting, Cambodian Ambassador to Vietnam Hun Phani spoke highly of activities of VCFA and the Vietnam-Cambodia Business Club in recent time.
On the occasion, Hun Phani awarded the Service Medal of Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni to Ly Quang Bich for his active contributions to promoting the cooperative ties between Vietnam and Cambodia. /.
