A Vietnamese delegation from the Ho Chi Minh Academy of National Politics and Administration (HCMA) led by Assoc. Prof. Tran Khac Viet, General Director of the HCMA Institute of Party Building paid a working visit to Cuba from Oct. 15-21.

At a working session with Rosario Penton, Rector of the Nico Lopez Party School of the Cuban Communist Party, Viet shared experience in research work and training of key cadres from central to local level in Vietnam which contributed to the country’s modernisation and development process.

Viet affirmed that he is willing to discuss an expansion of the cooperative programmes between the two sides.

Penton said that Vietnam’s experience in training is helpful to Cuba, especially at a time when Cuba is making changes in its economic model to help the country overcome existing challenges and continue its way to the socialist path.

At a meeting with Orlando Sardinas, Vice Chairman of the Commission for Organisation of the Communist Party of Cuba, Viet pledged that HCMA will continue sharing its experience in human resource training as well as promote cooperation in research with Cuba’s Nico Lopez Party School.

During the visit, the Vietnamese delegation also held working sessions with leaders of the training school for the Cuban Women’s Union, the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, and the Workers’ Central Union of Cuba.

They also visited a Party school in Pinar del Rio province and the Cuban Youth Research Centre./.
