The two sides agreed to actively prepare for the fifth meeting of the Vietnam-Egypt Intergovernmental Committee, scheduled to take place in Hanoi by the end of 2011.

On the occasion, Hegazy passed on a letter from Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil Abdullah El-Arabi to Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem.
