Vietnamese entrepreneurs in Italy established their own association (ASSOEVI) at a congress in Verona, Italy, on June 26.

Addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy Dang Khanh Thoai said ASSOEVI needs to collaborate with other agencies and businesses to promote Vietnam-made products in Italy.

As a non-governmental organisation, ASSOEVI should play a leading role in consolidating and enhancing the Vietnamese community’s the connectivity in Italy and actively organising events to introduce Vietnam’s potentials and cooperation opportunities as well as its land and people, the diplomat said.

ASSOEVI President Pham Van Hong said the association will encourage the exchange of information and experience on business and production development opportunities in both Italy and Vietnam.

Besides, the organisation will work to help remove difficulties and hindrances for its members when dealing with Italian functioned agencies and Vietnamese representative offices in Italy, Hong said./.
