A Vietnam-Germany investment and business forum opened in Berlin on Nov. 15.
Addressing the forum, Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Do Hoa Binh said the forum is a good opportunity for businesses from the two countries to explore their expanding investment and business advantages, especially in infrastructure, energy, hi-tech and environmental technology.
The diplomat expressed the hope that German businesses will invest more and win a worthy position in Vietnam and Vietnamese goods will become familiar to German consumers.
Berlin Minister for Economics, Technology and Women’s Issues, Harald Wolf, affirmed that huge potential remains for investment cooperation between Vietnam and Germany and a boom is expected after the opening of the Berlin-Hanoi direct air route when the Berlin-Brandenburg international airport becomes operational in 2012.
At the forum, participants were briefed on the economic development, investment opportunities and preferential policies of Vietnam and Germany for foreign investors./.
