The Hungarian Supreme Court will help the Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam in training personnel and improving qualifications of judges.
This is part of a memorandum of understanding on judicial cooperation signed by the heads of the two agencies in Hanoi on Sept. 27.
During the talks, Chief Judge of the Vietnam Supreme People’s Court Truong Hoa Binh and his Hungarian counterpart Baka Andras agreed to step up cooperation in areas such as application of information technology in management, personnel training, statistics and legal precedent.
They briefed each other of each country’s judicial system and exchanged experience in judgement.
Binh expressed thanks to Hungary for its support for Vietnam in training scientists and managers, contributing to the nation’s human resources.
Based on the traditional friendship, Vietnam and Hungary still hold potential for further cooperation in various fields, including judicial cooperation, Binh said.
Binh suggested that the court sectors of Vietnam and Hungary should step up cooperation in management and judgment, given the already signed documents, especially the Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance.
Baka Andras said he hoped the ongoing visit will open up a new stage of development in cooperative relations between the courts of the two nations./.
