VN keen to boost economic ties with Germany

Vietnam wants to step up the relations with Germany, especially in economics, said the Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh at a meeting with German Vice Chancellor-cum-Minister of Economics and Technology Philipp Roesler in Berlin on August 22.

NguyenThi Hoang Anh further said she hopes Roesler’s visit to Vietnam inSeptember will contribute to further realising the Vietnamese –Germany strategic partnership.

Anh informed herhost of the progress of the German-sponsored projects in Vietnam andaffirmed that Germany is Vietnam’s largest trade partner in Europe.

She also expressed hope that the German governmentwill sponsor more projects as agreed in the Hanoi Core Statement andcreate favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Germany,presently over 125,000 people, making it easier for them to contributeto German socio-economic development.

Roesler saidVietnam is part of Germany’s economic development strategy andpraised the overseas Vietnamese in the country.

Hesaid he hopes Vietnam will expand the teaching of the Germanlanguage in the country, contributing to developing the two countries’bilateral relations.-VNA

Vietnam’s auto market accelerates amid growing electrification trend

According to data released by PwC in late September, total vehicle sales across the six ASEAN-6 markets, namely Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore, reached about 1.755 million units in the first half of 2026, up 11% year on year. Khanh Hoa targets green, smart marine economy

Rooftop solar power development falls short of target: deputy minister

Vietnam’s CPI rises 4.52% in first nine months of 2026

Speaking at a press conference in Hanoi on October 3, NSO Director Nguyen Thi Huong said the CPI in September rose 0.62% from the previous month, mainly due to higher domestic fuel prices following global energy price movements and tuition fee increases at some universities and private schools for the new academic year.
