Thousands of publications from printed and online newspapers, to television and radio broadcasts as well as books, are being exhibited in Vientiane to mark the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Year and Laos ’ traditional Bunpimay New Year festival.
The exhibition was jointly organised by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) and the Laotian Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism.
Addressing the exhibition, MIC Minister Nguyen Bac Son, highlighted the robust development of the media in Vietnam and Laos in both quality and quantity, for the benefit of national construction and defence.
Laos Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Bosengkham Vongdala said that the exhibition provides press agencies from both countries with an great opportunity to share their experiences and promote cooperation in this field.
Vongdala also thanked the Vietnamese Party, Government and people for support to Laos in general and the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of Laos in particular.-VNA
