The Vietnamese National Assembly has sought increased bilateral and multilateral cooperation with the Republic of Korea counterpart during its Vice Chairman’s visit to the RoK.
Vice Chairman Huynh Ngoc Son of the National Assembly of Vietnam began his five-day visit on June 6.
Son had talks with Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of the RoK Chung Ui Hwa and met with the Chairman of the RoK NA Defence Committee, and the Defence Minister.
He also worked with representatives from the RoK-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group, the RoK Exchange Fund and Pusan authorities.
The officials said they were happy with constant consolidation and wide-ranging development of the two countries’ strategic cooperative partnership.
They shared the view that bilateral relations should be further increased for the sake of peace, stability and sustainable development in the region and the world.
The RoK officials delivered wishes of developing cooperation with Vietnam comprehensively.
They pledged to provide comfortable conditions for the Vietnamese people residing and working in their country, including over 35,000 Vietnamese brides.
The two sides agreed upon a plan to celebrate the 20 th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties (Dec. 22)./.
