The Vietnam National Museum of History has launched a trial version of a 3D museum on its website.

There are currently two virtual showrooms featuring the cultural Buddhist heritage and Vietnamese antique lamps, with 150 artefacts with detailed information.

Doctor Vu Manh Ha, deputy director of the museum, said that the money spent on building the 3D feature was only one third of the price in other countries.

Although the site is similar to those in France, the US and Egypt, a Vietnamese company has been solely responsible for the design. The web pages contain detailed demonstrations to provide more information for viewers.

The 3D museum is available on the museum's website: www.baotanglichsu.vn.-VNA
